Rachel Roo was a teen mentor and 17 years old in chat here. "One of our Chat monitors was on a bike ride last night and was attacked, beaten with a sledge hammer, gang raped and buried alive - she crawled for about three miles (because her knees were smashed) to find help but died in ICU around 2:11 Am this morning (June 17th,2009)." She was post-op and was a kind loving caring person. She will be missed. More details will be added later. Needless to say that I am sickened by this senseless death of someone who was just trying to be herself. Rachel saved many transgender teen lives here. She was about to attend "Juliard" in August. Just a little over a month ago Roo's Father died in a car accident and her mother lost her arm.

Requiem
I do this so that those who have made a truly positive impact on the transgender community may have a voice at least one more time, banded together with the voices of others who have had a positive impact. My hope is that those voices will send a message, that the time has come for people to stop the senselessness that comes with bigotry and hatred for just being.
